Indicator calculation
The “Sustainability of social interaction” is calculated by four scales/phrases, “I feel I have the time and opportunities to spend time with my friends and family.”, “I often feel lonely in my free time.”, “I feel that I manage to spend quality time with my children, my family and friends in a satisfactory way without it coming into conflict with my tasks as a farmer.” and “I am concerned that some of my immediate family members may feel lonely and socially isolated.”

Higher values indicate high sustainability in the phrases “I feel I have the time and opportunities to spend time with my friends and family.” and “I feel that I manage to spend quality time with my children, my family and friends in a satisfactory way without it coming into conflict with my tasks as a farmer.” and higher values indicate low sustainability in phrases “I often feel lonely in my free time.” and “I am concerned that some of my immediate family members may feel lonely and socially isolated.”
